"My “choose yourself” moment first began twelve years ago following an ugly divorce from an abusive marriage. I had lost my voice, lost my identity, and lost all my self worth. It was a slow start, but I kept putting one foot in front of the other until one day I loved the reflection in my mirror. I have two children and wanted to be a good example for them both. I discovered Fred and Far when an old high school friend, that I hadn’t seen since graduation, tagged me in a giveaway because I love triangles and my journey of self care. I won! Wearing my self love ring (or both because I now own two!) reminds me daily to stay the course and to use my voice to help other women (and men) find their own path of self discovery and self care/love. I am now a member of the crisis response team for sexual assault victims, and often I am asked where I got my ring. It gives me an opportunity to share self empowerment when it is truly needed the most. I am forever grateful to Melody, and Fred and Far, for not just having a company that makes beautiful rings, but genuinely standing in front of their movement, creating safe spaces and true connections.
