The One Who Changed Everything

The One Who Changed Everything

“In July 2018, I bought my first Fred and Far ring. After seeing the Facebook posts, following Melody's inspiring messages, and debating with a gal pal about which ring I wanted, I ordered the black spinel ring that was being promoted for ‘Friday the 13th.’
🔻
The purchase was symbolic of a journey I started that previous spring, which included finding things about myself and learning who I was all over again after some previous set-backs. It was to mark the changes I made in myself and the changes I planned to make going forward. Since then, I've lost 80 lbs (my ring started out a tad too tight and is now too loose), graduated with my Master's degree, ended two toxic friendships, began online dating, and have learned about boundaries and putting myself first.

🔻
Melody’s statement "my ring is my reminder" is why these changes came about. My ring is a symbol of undying devotion to myself, a token of love for me, something that reminds me daily what an awesome woman I am and have always been, and she's just becoming more authentic and real the more she loves who she is and chips away at what isn't her. I wear my ring daily to remind myself of why I am doing the things for me that I am doing, rekindle the commitments I keep, and to show the world that I love who I am. I find myself playing with it during the day, when I am thinking about my dreams or my goals, or when I need a minute to remember why I am doing the things I have been doing.

🔻
I want to thank you, Melody, for what you do, what your rings mean to so many, and for showing us what self-love looks like by taking time to be you.”
