New member of the Fred and Far movement and MS warrior, KC from Maine recently shared with us her powerful journey into self love and out of an unhealthy engagement:
"My choose myself moment happened this past summer, but I truly didn’t recognize it until many months later.
In August 2020, I made an incredibly difficult decision to end my engagement. In that moment, I chose me above all other obligations and commitments.
I have a tribe like no other and they stood by me while I struggled to stop feeling guilty about my choice. The guilt was overwhelming and I almost went back many times but I learned to listen to the quiet voice that kept whispering, "You are doing the right thing, you are valuable and your happiness is important."
I finally reconciled my guilt and here I am today. My Self Love Pinky Ring makes me smile. It makes me proud that for the first time in many years, I am making myself a priority. It reminds me to be the best version of me, the version that makes me proud!"
