Changing my Mind

Something was said. It doesn't even matter what. My reaction was instant. All consuming. Deeply physical. Palms, brows, shoulders, stomach. All clenched, churning, wounded. I took it wrong. Like I always do. I thought the worst. I felt the worst. That was my doing. Next time would be different. Something was said. It doesn't matter what. My reaction was... slow. Considered. Deeply physical -- but this time full of breath. Mind opened, thoughts re-directed from Worst case to best case. I changed my mind. I saved myself. Mind. Body. Spirit. My ME led the way.
